Electric car rental in Kyiv supports city travel, business visits or trying an EV before buying one. Choose your BLS vehicle alongside a charging plan: confirm the connector, supplied equipment, intended route and agreed battery level on return before booking.

Fit an EV into your everyday schedule
For daily use, identify where you will park overnight and whether an approved charging arrangement is available. For family travel, check the cabin and luggage space first. On a corporate project, agree who pays for charging and how those expenses are recorded. Renting a car does not automatically authorise taxi or delivery work; commercial use requires separate agreement.
Plan charging, not just driving distance
Do not treat a published range figure as a guaranteed journey distance. Temperature, speed, loading and climate-control use affect the distance achievable. For a trip beyond Kyiv, choose primary and backup charging stops and allow sufficient time. A station shown on a map is not proof that it works or supports your car.
- Confirm the vehicle's connector and supported charging methods.
- Record supplied cables and adapters at handover rather than assuming universal compatibility.
- Check payment arrangements, station access and any charges for remaining parked after charging.
- Ask for a demonstration of starting and ending a session, releasing the connector and reading charging information.
- Agree the battery levels at collection and return, including any related charges.
An ordinary household socket is not automatically a suitable charging point. Use approved equipment and a connection meeting the vehicle instructions, without improvised adapters. An EV does not follow a full-petrol-tank return rule: the agreed battery level is what matters.
Electric vehicle rental: budget and duration
Add charging sessions, parking and vehicle delivery separately. Electricity costs vary with the stations used, so an EV does not guarantee identical savings for every itinerary. A day can introduce the driving experience, a week can test your routine and a month can support longer personal use or a company project.
Mileage, eligibility and financial responsibility
For an ordinary electric passenger car, BLS requires age 21 and two years of driving experience. Electric trucks require age 25 and five years; licence category is checked against the actual vehicle. Prime requires at least 25 and three years without reducing the truck requirement of five years. Ordinary Base includes 250 km per day, while ordinary Prime provides unlimited mileage from day one where available for the chosen vehicle.
For a 60+ day EV booking under a special programme, check its monthly allowance separately from ordinary Prime. A long duration does not guarantee unlimited mileage. Also account for charging stops: permitted rental distance and remaining battery energy are different constraints.
Where Prime is available, there is no standard vehicle deposit, but separate security for possible traffic fines is agreed. The contract sets responsibilities for the battery, charging equipment and misuse. Unlimited rental mileage does not mean unlimited battery energy or included charging sessions.
If charging would be difficult on your route, compare crossovers with other powertrains. If an executive cabin is the priority, also consider business-class cars. An electric vehicle should fit both your passengers and the time available for charging. Plan the last charging stop early enough to meet the return appointment instead of relying on a free charger appearing nearby.
