Car rental in Uzhhorod (also spelled Uzhgorod) from BLS Car Rental means a self-drive car for a day, a week or a month, collected at the office at 158b Sobranetska Street or delivered to an agreed address. The office is open daily from 09:00 to 18:00. For 1-2 days the minimum rate is from 45 $ per day; for the longest rate period (29+ days) it is from 19 $ per day.

Who rents a car in Uzhhorod
Most customers need a car for one of three reasons. Business in the city and trips towards the border: Uzhhorod sits on the border with Slovakia and close to Hungary, so routes are short but frequent. Renting without a deposit: Base or Prime?
Base is the standard rate with a deposit and a mileage limit. Prime gives unlimited mileage and rental without a deposit for eligible cars; instead, 200 or 300 USD is blocked, depending on the car class, to cover possible fines. Every car is handed over with a full tank and must be returned full. If there is less fuel, a charge applies under the contract. Returning the car more than 1 hour late is charged as an extra day.
What the price includes
The total depends on the car class, the number of days, the Base or Prime rate and any extras. Extras are charged separately: an additional driver costs 4 USD per day for rentals up to 14 days and 2 USD per day from 15 days. One-Way, if you return the car in another city, costs 200 USD for economy, comfort and business class, 250 USD for SUVs and 300 USD for VIP class. For a route from Uzhhorod to Lviv or Kyiv, One-Way is often simpler than driving back.

Documents and driver requirements
Foreign visitors need a passport and an international driving permit if the rental terms require one. Ukrainian citizens need a passport or ID card, a driving licence and a tax number. Can I drive a rental car abroad?
Because the border is so close, this is one of the most common questions in Uzhhorod. Leaving Ukraine is only possible with written approval from BLS: agree the route, documents and insurance terms in advance. Without that approval, a rental car must not cross the border.
