Cargo van rental in Kyiv provides a self-drive commercial vehicle for moving, deliveries or replacing a work van. If you are comparing truck rental services, note that this category covers enclosed cargo vans rather than every truck body type. Renters must be at least 25 with five years of driving experience; confirm the actual vehicle, licence category and load requirements before booking.
Choose a van around the load
A longer van reduces the number of trips but needs more space at the loading address. A compact van may suit a tight courtyard better, while repeated journeys add time and mileage. Compare the usable space of the actual body variant with the packed load, not just the vehicle's external size.
For a house move, list the largest items first. Measure furniture after dismantling and packing, appliances and boxes. For business deliveries, provide the number of packages, their combined weight and handling requirements. For repeated deliveries, distinguish ordinary tariffs from a special long-term programme. Where a 60+ day offer exists, its monthly mileage and permitted commercial use are agreed separately. A long duration does not establish Prime unlimited mileage; compare your working schedule with the specific allowance first.
Count every loaded journey, empty return, collection trip from BLS and final drive back. Several short deliveries across Kyiv can produce a substantial total distance. Allow time for loading bays, lifts and unloading: the rental period continues while the van is parked. BLS truck conditions specify category C; have the required licence category checked against your chosen vehicle before paying.
Fuel-operated vans are supplied and returned with a full tank. Agree unusual loads in advance, do not overload the vehicle and do not modify the body. Vehicle insurance does not automatically insure your goods. Inspect the floor, walls, doors and load-securing points at handover, then remove packaging and personal belongings before return. A clear loading plan reduces avoidable handling and helps you decide whether one suitable van is preferable to repeated smaller trips.
Documents and preparation for a working booking
Ukrainian citizens need a passport or ID card, the appropriate driving licence and tax identification number. Foreign customers' passports, valid licences and any international permit requirement are checked.
