Bukovel ski resort

Friends, we were waiting for a special sign to tell you about the next ski resort from our already traditional section. We got it, and even what it was: today at the largest Ukrainian ski resort, Vladimir Zelensky was spotted. We are talking, of course, about Bukovel: we will talk about him today.

In 2012, it was Bukovel that was recognized as the fastest-growing ski resort in the world. Not surprisingly: the infrastructure here is improving from year to year, more and more new hotels appear, and the quality of service is growing. Not surprisingly, about 10% of visitors to the resort are foreigners, and this figure is growing every year.

Bukovel is a relatively young resort, it was founded in 2000, and today there are about 70 km of prepared tracks, and all of them are equipped with snow cannons. It is important that Bukovel was originally designed as a ski resort, and the entire infrastructure was developed to attract tourists for winter holidays: there is a core of one-two-story hotels, parking lots for cars, street foods, and already from this core on the slopes are constantly being built new lifts and tracks.

More than 60 ski slopes ranging in length from 300 to 2350 m represent all levels of difficulty, so in Bukovel neither beginners nor experienced athletes will be bored. There are also 16 lifts with a capacity of 34,700 people/hour.

It is not difficult to get to Bukovel from Kyiv: the trip will take about 10 hours, the road is relatively good along the entire length: you should go through Zhytomyr, Rivne, Ternopil, and Buchach, to bypass Ivano-Frankivsk to the town of Yaremche and, in fact, the final destination near the village of Polyanitsa. There are many hotels here, for every taste and price category. For the most demanding skiers - Radisson Blu Resort and AmstelSki, the options are simpler, but no less rated on the TripAdvisor - villas “Milena”, “Leku” and the hotel “Bookville”. Of the restaurants, the highest ratings are for Red Manor, Bear Mountain, and Carparosa.

Bukovel is not only a diverse “ski” experience. The resort is located in the heart of the Carpathians, so it is easy to get from here to Yarechma with an open-air cage and a large souvenir market, Rakhiv and the geographical center of Europe or Verkhovyna - the capital of the Hutsul region. Easy access to the main Carpathian reserves, waterfalls, and other natural attractions.

Do not want to leave Bukovel for a long time? Not a problem - there is also plenty of entertainment for every taste: karaoke, several relaxation areas, bowling, and even a full-fledged SPA salon. So boredom is not shining for you here! May even be lucky enough to meet the president
