Armored car rental in Odesa calls for more than choosing a body style and a daily rate. Check the protection documents for the actual vehicle, driver eligibility, permitted route and rental agreement before confirming the booking. BLS Car Rental lists armored vehicles in its Odesa fleet for self-drive hire, subject to availability for your dates. A listing alone is not a confirmed reservation.
Five checks before you confirm a vehicle
Tell BLS how many people will travel, how much luggage they have, where collection and return should take place, and how long the trip will last. An armored version can differ from the standard production vehicle in weight, cabin access and usable space.
- Verify the documented protection level and the parts of the actual vehicle it covers.
- Confirm seats, luggage space, dimensions and any operating restrictions.
- List every driver and check licence, minimum age and experience requirements.
- Agree on permitted territory, parking, insurance exclusions and incident reporting.
- Review the full quote, including the rental plan, security amounts and any delivery charge.
A Guard badge is not a ballistic certificate, and no armored car can promise protection against every threat. If a particular standard matters to your decision, obtain its documentation before payment. Share sensitive itinerary details through an agreed private channel rather than a public form comment.
Self-drive hire, drivers and separate services
For self-drive use, BLS must verify the documents and eligibility of the driver for the selected vehicle. Have your passport or ID and a valid driving licence ready; Ukrainian citizens also need their tax identification number. Additional drivers must be named in the agreement before they take the wheel. Set aside time at collection to inspect the car and learn its dimensions, doors, visibility and controls. Familiarity with an ordinary passenger car is no substitute for a vehicle-specific handover.
If you need a chauffeur, discuss that service and its charge separately. Hiring the vehicle does not automatically include a driver, personal security, escort or specialist equipment. Travel beyond Odesa must comply with the agreed area of use and insurance terms; international travel requires separate approval and documents. Armor does not permit access to restricted areas and does not mean war-related risks are automatically insured.
Daily hire and longer bookings
A one- or two-day booking may cover a short business visit or a defined itinerary. For a week, agree on parking, responsibility for the car and the process for changing the route. For an armored car rental lasting a month, clarify servicing, approved drivers, extensions and return arrangements. A company booking should identify its payer, responsible contact and required accounting documents before collection.
The minimum from $880 per day applies to the longest rental band, usually 29+ days; for 1-2 days, the minimum is from $1200 per day. Request the final total for the selected vehicle, dates, plan and delivery arrangement.
Base versus Prime
Base includes 250 km per day for ordinary daily hire. The standard vehicle deposit and insurance liability depend on the particular car and agreement. Prime, where offered for the selected vehicle, provides unlimited mileage from day one without the standard vehicle deposit. A separate amount is still retained for possible traffic fines. Confirm that amount and the release process for the armored category before payment; it is not a rental fee or a waiver of all liability.
Prime normally requires a driver aged at least 25 with three years of driving experience, while the selected armored vehicle may have stricter requirements. A special long-term agreement may have different mileage rules. Before taking the keys, check the plan, excess, insurance exclusions and every retained amount in the booking terms.
Collection in Odesa and why BLS
The BLS Odesa office is at 4 Viacheslava Chornovola Street. It is open Monday-Friday 10:00-19:00 and Saturday-Sunday 10:00-18:00; call +38 067 329 26 26. Delivery to a hotel, workplace or another address requires separate confirmation of availability, timing and cost. At handover, inspect the vehicle documents, body, glazing and equipment, and record any existing issues in the inspection report. Allow time for a joint check when returning it.
BLS has operated since 2007, provides a written rental agreement and offers BLS Assistance 24/7 during the hire. If the real priority is executive comfort rather than documented protection, compare VIP cars in Odesa; they are not a substitute for an armored vehicle.
