Skoda rental from BLS Car Rental in Kyiv provides a self-drive car for family journeys, work trips or temporary everyday transport. Choose around passengers, luggage and the length of your stay, then confirm the vehicle, driver and rental plan for your dates.

Choose around passengers, luggage and parking

If Skoda SUV rental is available for your dates, assess it against the journey rather than assuming that every configuration will fit your group. Confirm passenger capacity, luggage space and the equipment of the vehicle being offered. If a higher seating position is a priority, tell BLS before reserving. Neither a body-style label nor a brand name establishes the actual seating arrangement, drivetrain or permission for off-road use.

For city driving, think about office parking, hotel entrances and the roads used for daily errands. A car that suits a long-distance journey may need more space at your usual parking spot. Specify which features matter, such as an automatic transmission or parking assistance, and have them confirmed for the car you will receive. Do not assume that equipment is identical across all cars from one manufacturer.

Count everyone travelling, including children, and discuss any child seats before booking. Then check the luggage with the required passenger seats in use. Suitcases, work samples and a folded pushchair need different loading arrangements; tell BLS about bulky items and their dimensions. Plan refuelling or charging for the car you choose, particularly for an intercity journey or a return scheduled early in the day.

Compare the vehicles offered for your actual dates and requirements. If a suitable Skoda is not available or the offered layout does not meet your needs, consider SUV options beyond Skoda. Confirm the alternative separately, including equipment and rental conditions, rather than assuming that another car will have the same arrangement.

Choose mileage and protection for the route

Base includes 250 km per day, regardless of rental duration. Add city errands, journeys to your accommodation and return travel to the planned distance before choosing a package. Ask for the applicable excess-mileage charge if your route may exceed the allowance. A monthly booking does not automatically make Base unlimited.

Eligible Prime bookings include unlimited mileage from the first day. Prime requires a driver aged at least 25 with three years of driving experience and must be available for the selected car. Compare it against your expected use, not just the length of the booking.

With eligible Prime, the standard vehicle deposit is waived, but separate funds for possible traffic fines are still retained. Confirm the amount and release procedure for your booking. Keep those funds separate from the rental charge when reviewing what you will pay or have held.

BLS vehicles have motor third-party liability insurance and CASCO insurance for vehicle damage and theft, subject to the agreement. Review the covered risks, exclusions, incident-reporting obligations and your financial responsibility. An extended package is not an unconditional promise that every loss is covered. Agree the package before departure so you know what to do if something goes wrong.

Approve the driver and payment before committing

For self-drive Skoda car hire, most passenger cars require a driver aged at least 21 with two years of driving experience. Confirm the selected vehicle's requirements as well as any stricter package conditions.

Prepare your passport or ID and driving licence; Ukrainian citizens also provide their tax identification number. Foreign visitors should have licence acceptance and any international driving permit requirement checked before collection. A booking made by a company does not remove the need to approve the person driving.

Payment is cashless: Visa, Mastercard, American Express or bank transfer. Cash is not accepted. Agree who pays and what payment documents are needed when the booking is confirmed, especially if an employer is arranging the car.

Match the booking period to everyday use

A daily booking can cover a short visit, an appointment schedule or a weekend away. Include collection and return in your plans, not just the time spent driving. Request a quotation for the actual dates, vehicle and package, with any agreed delivery or additional services identified separately.

For monthly Skoda rental, consider regular commuting, weekend journeys and where you will keep the car throughout the stay. Discuss rental terms for a month or more to compare the full period. This is temporary vehicle use, not an automatic finance or purchase arrangement.

For a corporate booking, tell BLS who will drive, how the company will pay and which closing documents it needs. Company documents and a driver's authorisation may be required. Select passenger capacity, luggage space and equipment for the assignment, rather than relying on the brand's business image. Confirm these requirements for the vehicle being reserved.

Collect in Kyiv and check the return arrangements

The main BLS office is at 1A Volodymyr Zabolotnoho Street, Kyiv, open daily from 08:30 to 20:30. Agree the collection and return times before booking. Delivery can be discussed separately: confirm the address, timing and service charge rather than assuming it is included.

At handover, review the recorded condition, supplied equipment and controls before setting off. For cars with a fuel tank, BLS requires collection and return with a full tank; missing fuel is charged under the agreement. If the chosen vehicle needs charging, confirm its charging and return conditions separately. Allow time for the return inspection.

Why arrange your Skoda journey with BLS?

  • BLS Car Rental has operated since 2007, serving private and corporate customers.
  • The car, rental package and handover are arranged with one company, so practical booking details can be settled before travel.
  • Cashless payment and corporate documentation help an employer organise transport without buying a vehicle.
  • BLS Assistance 24/7 supports customers on the road, separately from the main office's collection hours.

Keep the assistance contact and agreement accessible during the trip.

To rent a Skoda, send BLS your dates, passenger and luggage needs, expected route and driver details. Confirm the vehicle and full quotation before reserving. If neither the body style nor the available booking suits the trip, consider other makes for the same booking dates. Choose the car that works for the journey you actually plan.

Before your Skoda booking

General questions

How do I confirm which Skoda is being reserved?

Ask BLS whether your reservation confirms a specific vehicle or agreed vehicle requirements. Confirm passenger capacity and essential equipment before paying. If another car is proposed, check its configuration and final rental terms separately. The brand name alone does not establish the car you will receive.

Can a colleague or family member share the driving?

Only after BLS approves them and adds them to the agreement. Arrange the additional driver before they take the wheel, provide their documents and confirm any additional charge. Approval is needed even when the booking is paid for by an employer or made by another member of the family.

Can I return the Skoda in a different city?

Request a One-Way arrangement before confirming your trip. BLS must approve the return city, location, timing and service charge for the selected car. A normal booking with a Kyiv return point does not authorise a different handover location; have the agreed arrangement recorded before departure.

Can I take the rental car outside Ukraine?

Only with prior written permission from BLS and the required vehicle documents. Send the destination and route for review before making travel commitments. The car, permission and insurance arrangements need to be checked for that journey; unlimited rental mileage alone is not approval to cross a border.

What should I confirm before paying to reserve?

Ask for the reservation payment, cancellation conditions and refund procedure to be explained for your booking. Establish what happens if your dates change, you cancel or BLS cannot supply the agreed car. Keep that confirmation with your booking details rather than relying on a general refund assumption.

What if I need to keep the car beyond the return time?

Contact BLS before the agreed return time and wait for an extension to be approved. The vehicle may have another booking. Confirm the revised charge and return arrangements, including the late-return rule in your agreement; sending a request does not by itself extend the rental.

What should I do if the car is damaged during the trip?

Contact BLS promptly, follow the instructions given and complete the reporting steps required by the agreement and insurance. Do not arrange repairs without the company's approval. Keep the relevant records and communications: correct reporting matters when the insurer and BLS assess the incident and your financial responsibility.
