Friends, while winter is outside - we are not tired of writing about the coolest Ukrainian ski resorts. We know that among you there are many ski lovers who are ready to take off for the weekend on a steep SUV in the Carpathians. Today you will find out all the details about the relatively new, but already loved by many ski resort Pylypets. He is the second tallest in Ukraine, besides Pylypets is a real paradise for freeriders. The length of off-piste descents here is an order of magnitude greater than the length of the marked ski slopes.
But let's start traditionally - from the train. Pylypets is conveniently located so that it can easily be reached by car. But it’s better to stay on an SUV - especially since renting it now is more profitable than ever. Prices start at $ 70 per rental day. If we travel from Kyiv, or Lviv along the highway Kyiv-Chop (M06 E50), after 162 kilometers. after Lviv in the village of Nizhny Gates, before the traffic police post, we turn left onto a local road (T07 18) in the direction of Volovets. After 25 km, having passed Volovets, the villages of Guklyve and Podobovets we are on the spot.
Every year Pylypets receives more and more guests, including those from abroad .. Ski and tourist infrastructure of the resort, is developing at a rapid pace. Here it takes care of visitors, so the tracks are processed and rolled out by snow groomers. True, there are no snow cannons at Pylypets, but natural snow is kept in these places from December to April.
And now - more about the resort itself. It consists of several routes on Mount Gymba (their total length is 20 kilometers) and 4 descents on Mount Zhid-Magur. The longest record belongs to the track descending from the top of Gymba and ending at the village itself - 6 kilometers! Less impressive are the tracks on the neighboring mountain, with a maximum length of 1,500 meters.
If we talk about altitude, the ski area here starts from 700 meters above sea level, and the highest slopes go down from the top of Gymba Mountain (1497 meters). The resort has 7 lifts that successfully serve all the tracks.
Accommodation in Pylypets and Podobovets (a neighboring village near the resort) is represented by hotels, inns, estates, guest houses, and private cottages. The most popular hotels on TripAdvisor are “Grand Hotel Pylypets”, “Zatyshok” and “Whisper of the Carpathians”, restaurants: “Spravzhnya kazka” and “Pylypets”.
